Dernhil Thread
Hey guys i was looking at the cadvan thread and i noticed there was a lot in there about dernhill so copying mrs cadvans brillant idea ive made a dernhill thread.Chat.Dernhill is personally one of my favourites and ive always imagined him being cute.
okies i edited it because we went off topic to much to talk about other less important characters or ones that are not in the plot anymore.A great thx to Gemini.Last edited by Silvia; April 16th, 2005 at 02:32 AM.

Glad you like Dernhil, Silvia. I've found it incredibly interesting how present he's remained in the books, despite his absence - and I think he'll go on being important...
And yes, he's definitely handsome...

I did like Dernhil. I agree, he does still seem to be v present in the series, its especially interesting about how thoughts of him seem to dictate Maerads reactions to men and love etc etc

yes this is true he does seem to dictate maerads idea of love and men and think maybe she did have feelings for him but was to shy to express them.

I don't really like blonde guys i like them tall, dark and handsome
which is how I imagine Cadvan to be which is kinda funny because when i first read the Gift i decided i wanted Cadvan to be blonde but then I got an image of a dark haired guy and it just sorta stuck

There probably is a bias towards brunettes -
Dernhil has dark brown hair. Malgorn is fair haired.... I can't remember anyone else!
Mr Wenham could of course dye his hair brown, if we asked him nicely...
And yes, Maerad really did like Dernhil.

That reminds me I've always wondered about the Winterking (It may seem off topic but I was thinking about Maerad's love life)... does anyone like him? I do but I find him really confusing and I end up reading the bits with him over and over to try and understand him
