He looks kind of off in that pic to tell you the truth...

And Johnny... not a "whole deep thinking, isolated, seclusive person" *gasp* how could you type such a thing?

Have you ever seen "From Hell" he's plenty deep in that movie, and he's actualy in his 40's.

    And how's this for cadvanish-ness http://www.filmweb.no/bilder/multime...m_H_90283o.jpg http://www.ohjohnny.net/fh/020009.jpg

Maybe with shorter hair though, and maybe without the gottee

Anyhoo, I still think Alex O'Lachlan is cadders material... though he'd also be a good choice for Dernhil IMO, the only problen is there aren't any great photo's of him on the web because he still a newcomer. I recomend that you watch "Oyster Farmer" (which is a great movie by the way) to see how good he really is.

I have to agree that pic aint good of him (James Purefoy)... but i don't know there is something about Johnny Depp that just doesn't appeal and especially not as cadvan. Just my opinion so don't kill me for it.

I agree that Johnny Depp couldn't play Cadvan. He just doensn't have that mysterious power thing going on. He'd make a good Malgorn though.

Johnny Depp I find can't get rid of his air of ego I mean that's being really nit-picky. But I kinda think Cadvan is just completely non-caring of what he looks like... and Johnny Depp is a bit tanned for him...

sorry I know alot of actors are like that, Johnny Depp's acting so far has impressed me, who knows?

Johnny Depp...definately. Although I could see Cadvan looking a lot like Viggo Mortensen in LOTR...Johnny Depp is a great actor! You'd just have to rough him up a little bit...

But hey...what do I know? Most of you are thinking 'damn newbs...'

My goodness thats really difficult! I had a llok and was immeditely drawn to Jonny Depp and Ewan McGregor, but then I looked at the pictures of the others and they could all totally play Cadvan in their own way and be totally hot! Although I would sort of want Cadvan to be one of those who you dont fancy at the beginning, but grow to really really love him! So because of that I would have to vote for Matthew McFayden, because thats exactly what happened in Pride and Prejudice!

i haven't heard of any except johnny and ewan, so i diligently looked each up on google images. I can say without reservations that i thought some of the angles of Billy Crudup and Colin someone looked most like our Cadders, but no one was QUITE right.

I thought from the pictures that Billy Crudup would be quite a good Cadvan, but having watched him in Mission impossible 3 last night, i don't think he'd be right for it. Not sure why I think that...maybe I just didnt get a Cadvan impression.

Although I do admire the option of Depp-O I think he's a little too...delicate, for a Cadders-wannabe. Although Cad-Man is described as 'wiery', I think JD is slightly flouncy to be convincing as the type to go galavanting through the wilderness. Images of him in Sleeply Hollow haunt me still, his hillarious fainting fits somewhat tainting my views of his credability where any sort of manly resiliance is concurned.

I think Goron Visnjic from 'Welcome to Sarajevo' [my favourite movie...well, for now] would be perfect. He's the right age, has the 'cheekbones' you so avidly admire and has a northen-esc accent, being from Croatia. Plus he has the most awesome smile in all of Gods green creation...and he does fencing as a hobbie, so would actually be able to handle a sword without impaling himself or others. And you want a broodie-fest? He's an A* Brooder!

Watch ER, and you'll agree with me that he's an accomplished actor as well. By jingo, the man's got it all!
