I thought it was in the book. I won't look it up as that would kind of be cheating, but I seem to remember Cadvan telling Maerad that Arnost is a word in Speech that means sharp or somthing, just like StarLily said. However, i don't have the best memory so...
why bother learning left from right if you dont know up from down?

*panting* i....found....it! *catches breath* it was in the questions and answers thread somewhere in the middle i think, i closed it before i thought to check the page numbers! arnost is supposed to mean sharpness or edge!
