In my attempt to read the backlog of some 50 + titles that have made up the BOTM list on this forum, I have finished 40 and had to set 2 aside. Well, with Accelerando, make that 3. I tried. God knows I tried, working my way through the first 60 pages before eventually admitting defeat and setting it aside. I found the book so unfathomable it may have well been written in Russian. In some ways, I was reminded of Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, an other BOTM selection that, while problematic for me in some respects, was still, admittedly, a very entertaining read.
