I think for me perhaps a cross between Cadvan and Saliman. On the Cadvan side, I guess I'm quite a quiet, introspective type of person, and I certainly value knowledge. And I'm a bit of a loner - my gf says I need a lot of "private time", so all that seems a bit Cadvany. Also I do get a bit flustered around girls - Cadvan's embarassment in that scene at Inail made be blush awfully imagining me in the situation! But on the other hand, I think I have a bit more of an outgoing sense of humour than Cadvan - much more like Saliman. Cadvan seems to have more of a dry wit, where my humour seems a bit more goofy.
So... can I say im a Sali-Van?

Bahhh
this is a tough one. But I think I'm most like Silvia. Not because of her situation, but because of how she feels attatched to things so quickly. The person doesn't need to be perfect, or even good, but she feels sympathy for almost everyone. I guess that's sort of the way I am, but i also relate to her because she likes to stay where her home is. She's not much of an adventurer but if you told her she had to go somewhere where she's needed, then she'll go. That's pretty much the way I am. And she also values education, which is also like me. But I must say, I am a bit...argumentative like Maerad but mostly I resemble Silvia.
(Was that answer long enough?

hisss..
I'm not being bigheaded here-but I'd have to say Maerad; I know it sounds shallow and everything considering that she is the main character and the whole thing is told from her point of view (more or less), but I can really connect with what she goes through..(apart from the fact that she isn't exactly OBVIOUS about being head over heels in love with Cadvan).
But then on the other hand, Arkan and Cadvan as well..

i would have to say Cadvan
Im a very quiet person i dont talk much to people im not close to but im not afraid to either. i prefer to be alone then to be surrounded by people, im a private person, and as Draoi said about cadvan's dry-witt thats me. but i laugh easily.

Mine is Maerad too.
I don't know I just feel a bigger connection to her than the rest of the characters. But to a certain extenty, I see how Silvis can feel such empathy for everyone. Im similar in that sense to. And the quiestness and broodiness of Cadvan.
Can i be all of them? lol

Something witty!
i relate to cadvan in that i like being alone and although company is fun you always need some time to yourself.
But i also think that i relate to Dernhil, i like reading, writing and poetry(though my skills at writing arent that good). Im a bookish girl. i think i might also be a bit like saliman with the humour and mearad because well shes a girl struggeling to fit in with a world she doesnt fully understand, and what teenager hasnt felt that?

I know everyone is saying them, and I know they are the main characters, but Cadvan and Maerad. For Cadvan, probably because wen he was younger, he liked to brag about his powers, and unfortunately wen I was younger, I thought I was the hot-shot who was good at school and sports. There I said it
. Also I am kind of a loner sometimes. Maerad because the whole teen not fitting in the world thing, although her problem is like, a thousand times larger than my deal, but ya. O ya, Dernhil too with all the reading and falling asleep with a book in hand
.

this is hard! i think i relate to cadvan a bit about the kinda reclusive and likes to avoid socialising except with his good friends. im also like maerad who is just trying to fit in and wishes she was ordinary (not like im going to save the world or that theres something really extraordinary about me). i also relate to dernhil because i love reading! not so much writing but i love to immerse myself in a good book (such as the pellinor series) and i would stay up really late just to read (but i dont know if i'd fall asleep at the desk because that = owchie in the morning).
nice thread danyl

Well, I can't check if it's the right person, because I lent the Riddle to my friend (taking the world over, one booklover at a time
) but I can most relate to- I think her name is- Lyla? The first bard of Gent's daughter. She's a normal teenage girl, confident and comfortable around people, no great destiny on her shoulders... yup- the good life!
