Jerle Shannara
Hey-
I haven't read any Terry Brooks (as I mentioned in a previous post) but I will be soon...
Do you need to know anything of Shannara before you read the new Jerle Shanarra or can you jump in with the new book?
Thanks in advance

You kind of do. There is a bit of review of the last books in the new one, but there is still a lot that the reader needs to know to fully enjoy it. Even though it takes place 100 years after the last book, one of the characters is still the same. So, yes, it would be wise to read the ones before it.
