Cadvan or Saliman?

Having Cadvan as a teacher would defeat the object. I mean, I would NOT be able to concetrate on my lessons. Then there'd be the constant blushing, the gazing into his eyes, the ... ok, ok, I'd better stop. *Wipes drool*

ok back on topic!
Cadvan would still be my choice of teacher (no not just cause of reason stated in other posts) beacuse hes studied for a number of years and has gained alot of knowledge from travelling therefore i think you would gain the most from his teaching. Although it maybe hard to form a comfortable relationship in the beginning as hes quiet a reserved character.

But so has Saliman, he's done spying and stuff too, also widely travelled and old. They both had the same mentor as well. He definitely is more patient as well.

yea your right, but personally i still feel that cadvan would be the better teacher. I think his disaproval would make you work harder and improve faster, also hes praise would do the same as it isnt an often occurance.
Saliman is patient and would be a more friendly teacher, but as we havent really seen alot of his teaching skills i dont think i can compare them fairly. There are pros and cons for both of them, cadvan wold win it for me though!

Hi, I am new, and I started to read this thread.
It was kinda funny ah these girls!!! Anyway !!!

I was thinking, one of the things which makes Saliman different to Cadvan is their students. Maread is a girl, harder to be understand, she does not trust men!!! and all other thing....
e.g. whenever Cadvan tries to understand her, she rebuffs!!!
while hem is a boy, being of the same sex with saliman, a child .... oh its waaaaysss easier.
maread would not trust saliman as she did to cadvan!! but still they have problems
this is apart from, being in danger....

now you have to decide!!!!!
its not that easy to say: CADVAN!!! or SALIMAN!!!!

i think it all depends on the person to who would suit them as a teacher.
I think your point about hem being a boy is good i didnt think of that. I think mearad instant trust for cadvan helped there realtionship, but she still has doubts in her mind because of her deep distrust of men! Cadvan suits mearad as a teacher i think, alot more than if you put hem with cadvan The same with mearad i dont think she would excell as much under salimans teaching.
