Yea... wasn't that gossip mag accusing you of being the high-profile fashion financier with a taste for the ladies... and a wife who liked to join in?

I loved this lyric... imagine fcuking up so much that you aren't just in the dog house, you're in the temple of the dog!

Thanks Justin. I'm honored.
For me it's Jackson Browne, one of the most underrated artists around. I saw him at Madison Square Garden about two years ago. He was the opening act for Tom Petty. Most people, even though they knew Petty well, didn't pay any attention to Jackson Browne. I felt bad for him. I've always admired his mix of rock and folk. He tells stories and yet his melodies linger too.
The Naked Ride Home from the cd of the same name.

Sass Jordan - High Road Easy
An awesome rock song. She describes herself as Stephen Tyler with tits!
One of my favorite albums in the early 90's was Stevie Salas' Colorcode... it was an amazing, funky rock album... I loved it. Anyway, jump forward a few years and one night I was watching Headbangers' Ball and this incredible voice just grabbed my attention... it was the song above and I remember thinking that the guitar riff was amazing... turns out it was Stevie Salas playing all the guitars on the album and he toured with her too... awesome... check out the album Rats for other gems like it's pissing down... great tune.

Joni Mitchell, A Case of You.
It's just too good a song not to pick. I see the people when I listen to it. I can feel all the emotions between them. It's an entire book in a few verses. Is it the combination of words, music and inflection that makes a song stand out so far above the rest? Just as poetry, it's beautiful, but when you add a truthful voice and music, it becomes paradisical.

I'm a fan of White's. I love the White Stripes. I also like what he did with Loretta Lynn. So my answer would be yes. But who buys cds these days? I download songs from cds after i listen to them. Rarely do I buy every one of them. If you subscribe to Rhapsody.com you can listen to anything without buying it and decide later. You pay a fee monthly for unlimited downloads. But you can't play them on an mp3 player or copy them to cd without paying a different fee. It's still worth it. I play all my music through Rhapsody and through my computers. Then I decide what I want to buy and copy it to my ipods.

I'm in one of those moods. I just had to post these lyrics, they're so good:
The last time I saw Richard was Detroit in '68,
And he told me all romantics meet the same fate someday
Cynical and drunk and boring someone in some dark cafe
You laugh, he said you think you're immune, go look at your eyes
They're full of moon
You like roses and kisses and pretty men to tell you
All those pretty lies, pretty lies
When you gonna realise they're only pretty lies
Only pretty lies, just pretty lies
He put a quarter in the Wurlitzer, and he pushed
Three buttons and the thing began to whirr
And a bar maid came by in fishnet stockings and a bow tie
And she said "Drink up now it's gettin' on time to close."
"Richard, you haven't really changed," I said
It's just that now you're romanticizing some pain that's in your head
You got tombs in your eyes, but the songs
You punched are dreaming
Listen, they sing of love so sweet, love so sweet
When you gonna get yourself back on your feet?
Oh and love can be so sweet, love so sweet
Richard got married to a figure skater
And he bought her a dishwasher and a Coffee percolator
And he drinks at home now most nights with the TV on
And all the house lights left up bright
I'm gonna blow this damn candle out
I don't want Nobody comin' over to my table
I got nothing to talk to anybody about
All good dreamers pass this way some day
Hidin' behind bottles in dark cafes
Dark cafes
Only a dark cocoon before I get my gorgeous wings
And fly away
Only a phase, these dark cafe days

Better man - John Butler Trio
So better man, I am since I came into contact with you
and you taught me so many things about myself and you know this is true
but now we are apart and it's all my fault 'cause you know I need to be alone
don't know myself so how can I share me with you, girl or anyone
don't wanna be a thorn in your side, good woman
always be the one to make you cry don't wanna be the guy, good woman
oh you deserve everything but I got nothing so leave me
and I'll go away, better off I stay far from you, you, you, you 'cause you are beautiful
so typical man, I am 'cause you think I want my cake and eat it too
I can't be in no relationship 'cause I still feel for you
you are the best woman, this old man has ever met
you taught me about my soul, you shared with me your magic
don't wanna be a thorn in your side, good woman
always be the one to make you cry don't wanna be the guy, good woman
oh you deserve everything but I got nothing so leave me
and I'll go away, better off I stay far from you, you, you, you 'cause you are beautiful
beautiful, beautiful, beautiful woman
yes you are a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful woman
