Atomic, Blondie. Favorite song of all time. Here's a crappy quality Youtube video, from the Eat to the Beat DVD: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qW6OrdLkCLU (yes, yes she is wearing a trashbag). Lorna Luft did the backing vocals by the way.

"Bug" by Phish. Feeling quite a bit this way, creative as it is making me this morning:
There've been times when I've wandered, times when I don't
Concepts I've pondered, concepts I won't ever see
It doesn't matter to me
Bug, don't need it
Bug, don't feed it
My thoughts faded
Overrated
It doesn't matter.

...but that's a good thing. We'd have no great literature if there was no conflict.

This one's for you, KatG. Applying the subjective.....
Joni Mitchell, For Free from Ladies of the Canyon:
Nobody stopped to hear him
Though he played so sweet and high
They knew he had never
Been on their t.v.
So they passed his music by
I meant to go over and ask for a song
Maybe put on a harmony...
I heard his refrain
As the signal changed
He was playing real good, for free

I saw Rufus down there... I'm a huge fan of him lyrically, and he puts on a great show!

Breaking the Habit - Linkin Park.
Not that emo techno is really my thing, but it's just a song that fits for the day.

Gary, check out a guy called Ben Howard, he sounds a little bit like Ray Lamontagne, and yet original - I played a show with him on Saturday and haven't taken his CD out of my car since - he is on myspace.
Beautiful voice.

I will give him a listen. I've always trusted your taste in music.
