i'm not pecimist!!!!!!!! i'm just realistic... that's all.... alison likes makes us cry... and from all the bad things that happened in the books, i think they seem to never be able to enjoy themselves.... i'm just predicting what the facts leads us to...

But there was Innail, and Busk, and Rachida, and at the very end of the Riddle when they were at Pellinor....So many happy moments.

And even in the watchtower in the Gift and on Owan's boat in the Riddle, when they were faced with danger, they prevailed and those scenes were so lovely.

So they SHOULD and WILL and MUST get together!!!!!!

Okay, I just realized that this might contain spoilers....It's just speculation about the Treesong though, not much plot and nothing past what you know by the end of the Gift.

But it's not just a simple ending. Who said it had to be an ending at all!? It could be part of the drama in the middle....

I think it would actually come off better that way, if they were almost in love, but not quite, but then something happens, and they realize that they actually are in love, and then they have to use that love to defeat Sharma, or they have to stop their love from preventing them from defeating Sharma (although I don't think that they should have to ignore love in order to destroy evil). And then one of them could have to do something alone, and the other one has to cope with the feeling of being alone, and not knowing whether or not the other is alive, and yet they both have to accomplish their tasks. Or Sharma could try to use their love against them, but they prevail because their love/power is too strong for him. Or the Treesong could have four different kinds of love (to continue in the theme of fours), and one of them is the love of friendship (Cadvan and Saliman), one is of family (Maerad and Hem), one is of teacher and student (Saliman and Hem), and one is the love that lovers have for each other (MAERAD AND CADVAN!!!!!!!), and they have to use all four kinds of love to defeat evil.

I could go on forever....

M+C ARE DESTINED FOR EACH OTHER!!!!!!
