yes that helps alot thanks! i wanted to start with the first discworld book but barnes and noble only had that one and a couple of the newer books

Have you read Land of the Silver Apples? Its the reason i am reading SoT .. i got Land of the silver apples from the library and did not realise til i got home that it was book 2.

I'm reading Seekers: Great Bear Lake by Erin Hunter (who is actually two people but I won't go into details). It's a little kiddish but I've been reading her/their other series since I was ten, so I'm still fond of it.

I've never heard of any of these books! I feel so unlearned.

Me too! I was just about to say that. I haven't heard of ANY of them. Is it cuz I live in the Texas and I'm a retard lol? No, not really, I don't even have an accent. Not in the least!

yeah i no. i havnt heard of ne of these books either. maybe it is cuz we live in texas...the only reason ive heard of terry pratchett is because someone on this site said he was a really good author and recommended himto me so i went and bought one of his books. but yeah im clueless as to wat most of the rest of the books are

I have a whole bunch of books I like, but some of my favorites The Protector of the Small Quartet and The Song of the Lioness Quartet and the Beka Cooper books by Tamora Pierce. I also really enjoyed the Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix, and the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan.

Jeez, the list is endless...

I also really like the Bloody Jack Adventures series by L.A. Meyer, Graceling by Kristin Cashore, The Hero and the Crown and The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, The Door Within Trilogy by Wayne Thomas Batson, Fortress Series by C.J. Cherrhy...shall I go on? Lol

I haven't heard of a single one of those books. Is it cuz I live in North America? UGH I FEEL SO STUPID!
