yes that helps alot thanks! i wanted to start with the first discworld book but barnes and noble only had that one and a couple of the newer books
and sorry about the chat speak. i forgot

I'm reading Seekers: Great Bear Lake by Erin Hunter (who is actually two people but I won't go into details). It's a little kiddish but I've been reading her/their other series since I was ten, so I'm still fond of it.

I've never heard of any of these books! I feel so unlearned.

Well I don't think it's Texas. An Ontarian (funny-sounding word for someone from Ontario, I have no clue whether it's official or not ) hasn't heard of them either.

I have a whole bunch of books I like, but some of my favorites The Protector of the Small Quartet and The Song of the Lioness Quartet and the Beka Cooper books by Tamora Pierce. I also really enjoyed the Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix, and the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan.

    Jeez, the list is endless...

I also really like the Bloody Jack Adventures series by L.A. Meyer, Graceling by Kristin Cashore, The Hero and the Crown and The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, The Door Within Trilogy by Wayne Thomas Batson, Fortress Series by C.J. Cherrhy...shall I go on? Lol

I haven't heard of a single one of those books. Is it cuz I live in North America? UGH I FEEL SO STUPID!

I'm gonna go cry now in my own little emo corner. *pulls hood over head*

I need to do more research.

Hehe yep! We're all friends and I thought it'd be a warm welcome. Of course you can call me Maia! Everyone does.

I'm also planning on reading The First King of Shannara once I've finished a couple other books- anyone read it?
