    Lion Vrie

Or if it's a signature you want, you could always e-mail me and I could shoot you a signed poster or some such thing.

    All my best,

    CH

    THAT WOULD BE AWSOMEFUL!!!!

Oh! and *squeals* THE LION VRIE CAME IN TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! *bounces off ceiling in excitment*
I CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT!!! *huggles book tightly*
but I have to finish my summer reading first, or I'll never finish it *mutters something 'long the lines of boring, and Shakespeare's life*

and, ILHY (A.K.A. Pais Charos says)
That although her main goal is to eventually get the actual book - a signed poster would be rather nice, and might tide her over till she can get the book.  But she'll wait to see the response before she send the email. :P
    also
And what does you mean by "and some such thing"?!?

    Chronicles of Soone

I know I mentioned this in a different thread, but since Wayne wants this one to be the comprehensive recommendation thread....

Not to curry favor or win brownie points with James (who I know is a regular here), but I do recommend The Chronicles of Soone: Heir to the King.

It's a lot of fun. Action-packed. Great story. And a good Christian allegory.

    Ranger's Apprentice

Also mentioned in another thread, but....

The Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan is awesome. They are quick reads - middle school level reading. But enjoyable for adults as well. I'm in my thirties, and I absolutely love them. Of course, I still have a kid in me, I guess.

Ranger's Apprentice is not a Christian series, but it's very clean. Very family-friendly. A few minor curse words. When I say a few, I mean you can count them on one hand - and that's throughout all three of the books so far.

    Highly recommended.

I have not yet read the book as it just came out today, but I am very interested in the book Auralia's Colors by Jeffrey Overstreet. He has a wonderful website lookingcloser.org that deals with finding God in movies. I think that he has a really wonderful ministry going and definitely want to support his latest endeavor. His reviews are wonderfully written so I have very high hopes for his new book. By the way, it's the first in a series. He has also said that he was inspired by the works of Tolkien. That's sure to earn a lot of brownie points around here.

    Me, a regular? "NORM!"

I think I'm showing my age with that one

Brian--your words are full of grace (unmerited favor!)
great to see you over here!

I've been busy doing a complete revision of COS1 in recent days...just never was satisfied. No real plot changes just a lot of fine tuning I wish I'd done before Breakneck Published it.

    James
