Seasons 7 through 9 of Stargate SG1 just came out on itunes. I already have all the DVDs but I think its pretty cool that they're out on itunes, too.

I only started watching Stargate Atlantis a few months ago via internet downloads. I stopped watching SG1 years ago.
Atlantis is great because of the hilarious nerds/mundanes social interaction with McKay, Zelenka and Sheppard and the rest. In one episode Lt. Ford talked about people like him beating up nerds in high school. It is a kind of realism made funny that I don't recall ever seeing in any sci-fi show before.

I started watching SG-1 on Hulu a few weeks ago. I could play episodes while I worked on a computer project and not really give it my full attention.
But I just saw this episode A Hundred Days #17 from season 3 that I have never seen before and thought, "That is the best damned SG-1 episode that I have ever seen." I did an internet search and apparently other people think so too. Some dude only put it in the top 5 but that ain't bad for over 150 episodes.

I wonder what his other 4 were.
That episode is better than most SG-A episodes but the SG-A series is better than SG-1.

PS - They don't run around shooting alien bad guys. That must be why I think its great and most SG-1 fans don't. LOLLast edited by psikeyhackr; November 16th, 2009 at 11:00 PM. Reason: link

I started watching SG-1 on Hulu a month or two back. I'm most of the way through season 2 now and I'm really enjoying it. I'm a mythology/anthropology fan, so seeing them tie Earth mythology into alien races and seeing ethnic groups spread out across the galaxy is very interesting to me. The humor is right up my alley, also, extremely dry. I'm looking forward to gradually working my way through the rest of SG1 and Atlantis.
I'm also currently watching Universe, though I'm not yet as thrilled with that. They don't seem to be touching much on the aspects I mention above as being my favorite things about the old series.
