Yeah, I tried to order online and the order failed. I called customer support and they said that their internal system is showing the book as "unavailable for order" which is, to them, effectively the same as out of print. So I just ordered direct from windstorm. But you might want to tell them to send some books to Chapter/Indigo and Amazon!

Amazon US or Ca? US has them in stock. Sorry about this, Fung! The perils of a small press. You get more creative freedom and less distribution.
I wish they were available everywhere! Me telling them to ship to someone is like pissing in the wind. They need the orders first. Small presses don't ship on speculation. They have to pay for all their production and inventory, so they watch their cash flow carefully.
When Barnes and Noble placed a large order with them for my books, they were thrilled....but they were also worried. On the one hand it's a great opportunity for them, on the other, it's a huge financial risk. Whatever B & N doesn't sell in 120 days, they return. And the returns are usually not re-sellable. The condition usually sucks.
It's a tough business. Don't envy published authors as long as you have a nice, steady job doing something else.

Amazon Canada...
The person on the phone made it sound as if I couldn't even place a "ship when available" order because of the status of the books in the system. Not sure what's going on there. Just thought I'd give you the heads up in case there was something that could be done about it. You won't sell anything if the sellers think there's nothing to sell!

Fung, I have an extra copy of The Twins if you're interested.

Is that legal?

I once offered to provide books at a discount, (my author's discount from my publisher) to the book club here at SFFworld and I was madly attacked! A few of the people in the club found my offer offensive. They thought I was trying to persuade them to read the book in a blatant, self-serving way! I never forgot that. It hurt. I was just trying to be nice.

That's kind of how I felt....
Hey, did you ever put that interview together?

Sure did! And it's posted on the site already. Been there about two weeks, I think. Check it out. If there are any mistakes, it wasn't me.

Here's the location, in case you were wondering.

Remember Fung that there is a method to my ethical madness in The Twins.
