    Reminds me of those really brief, summed up, inriguing blurbs. Inspires;

On one side---the rich and scandalous, on the other, the hard working, and seperating them, the apple tree. Then, the bombs came. London, 1940.

I'm sure I've seen ones like that before.

    1. He smirked. "Darling," he purred, "if I were going to kill you, I'd have done so days ago." Her eyes narrowed in rebellion and fear.
    2. Her eyes constantly relayed her emotions. Delight, fear, impertinence... for him, love. He wondered what they'd express when he told her he'd killed her brother.

Ooooh, I'd forgotten about this game!

“I feel like I’ve forgotten something…” she mumbled, walking from the door. “ My purse!”

She turned as the house blew up.

    “tsk! I loved that purse”

He tried his best to be silent. Creeping softly up to a huge oak, he peered into the clearing. And grinned.

    His prey.

Oh, why not. I think I can spruce this up a bit, but for now...

The pyres of a thousand men were set alight at dusk. The thousand men in question were nowhere to be found.
    “Gone again, are they?”

Harold faced the giant six-limbed Saphirian Carbuncles with only a broken dagger, and a handful of dog kibble.

The spammer grinned inanely as they inserted the spit into his anus.
"Nice post. Have you seen SpitRoastingSpammers.com!" he typed with his dying breath.

"You sing like a drowning cat," M'Lord complained.

"I am the cat you drowned when young," He replied, "I am all those you have bloodied."

Some sixth sense made Gundar look up, just in time to see a sea green dragon fold its' wings and plummet straight at him.

As he stared out the window, past the tree line, he couldn’t help but reflect upon, with vague curiosity, as to the circumstances that led to him being here. It was at this moment, the strange moment; he was able to think with a certain clarity that had always been his solace in his early years. When he was in this state it was as if time had stopped and all that mattered was the thought which would eventually take over his entire being, if he let it. He had learned at an early age how to use this state to his advantage, if only from necessity.

My eyes opened slowly but I could not move. My head hurt. My arms strapped to the bed. I felt so weak. Where am I?

I had to write a short piece of prose for my exam folio.. the first 24 words were:

Cold. Dark. Wet. Alone. Initially this was all I could garner from my current situation. Gradually, as my disorientation faded, other details became apparent.
