The hope of surviving had all but faded. What point was there in fighting if there was no reward?
"Stealing hearts," began the song, but it could not be finished, for the pain was too great for one singer alone. Who else could sing?
The world exploded, and, well....yeah. That was pretty much it. Well, apart from the mutants and zero gravity, of course.
Sweet kisses to adorn me, I go now to a death in love. Why shalt I bear this fate; so painful.....but exciting all the same.
    some more....and more.....

I was thirteen when the world ended. That was five years ago. Funny how you can get used to something like that.

I loosened my tie, pulled it over his head and knotted it comfortably around my neck. A gentle nudge; he slipped beneath the black water.

Darkness all around.....and yet I still had dreams of the light I used to know.
"Save it, Eric," she snarled, pushing the sword closer to him while using her tail to balance herslef.

What might blankets and a 1 inch long piece of tin foil have to do with each other? That's what I wanted to find out.

    this is an odd one.....

    btw, Andols, yours was hilarious!

I tripped over my tongue this morning on my way to work.

"Friggin' shoes," I muttered to no-one in particular.

    What tongue??

    My try:

The young girl was descending the creaking, old stairs warily. Her grandma had warned her about them many a time.

A couple really good ones here.
This would be a line from a story that i may write.

Judicus stopped, "Is it truly so hard to accept that everything you thought concerning the fate of man, life and death, it's all a lie".

"My life means nothing! Why can't you get that through your thick skull?" she shouted, and then collpased into tears.

A bunch of these are from my books.......books that have yet to be published..........or completed........

This is getting to be a long thread ...

Um ... if you collapse into tears, don't you get wet?

They say the city never sleeps, that might be true, but sometimes it does rest its eyes.
He listened to her softly snoring, and held the knife uncomfortably as he walked around the bed. There was so little time.
    I borrowed this:

"But my liege, he is but one man, what could he possibly do?"
"This," I said, and shot him in the head.

    Very wet...................

"Shine? A?" she asked, trembling, but she knew who it was. Her palms began to sweat.
    "No," said the voice. "Kayron."
She put the sword to his back. "You will tell me where he is.....or die."
"You don't want to do this."
She grinned evilly; wildly. "Oh yes, I do."
She leapt forward. Her sword glimmered with fell light of evil.

i like the second one from your last post MrBF1V3. I feel like like i can sense tension coming from there.

    I'll go again-
Her laugh could stop wars, her smile could calm storms, her touch could revive life, and her absence shattered my soul.

Nice Aemrys, you could almost replace the last three words with " ... " Because you could make a whole story out of that.

I've used this somewhere before, (I don't think it was here), but it's still good.

"God hates me," he said with a ragged breath.
    Or

"Stupid commercials," Joielo, the chief elf of production, muttered to himself as he walked to work on a particularly blustery morning.
