Hello from Hong Kong!
Hi,
I'm an indie filmmaker in Hong Kong and I'm working on a fantasy web series at the moment (hence the question in the "Other" forums).
I used to read alot of epic fantasy and cyberpunk novels, but both genres started to feel stale/repetitive after awhile. I then got into comics and manga and movies, then flipped back to novels lately.
The forums look like a nice place to hang out.

Welcome aboard, Hya.
You'll find plenty of diversity on this forum, which should keep you out of yawns.

Hey folks. Did a search for "Sci-Fi Forum", lo and behold......
Anyhow I love the genre(s?), been lovin the genre(s?).
Big-timers for me include Mieville, PK Dick, Simmons, Pratchett, and some other people...I'm sure of it.
Nice to already be familiar with the IB format. So here's a little something that I brought with me from the internetz.

I am writing the title of the requisite introduction post.
Now I am writing the body of the requisite introduction post. Soon I will be sufficiently introducted and can begin the business of accumulating virtual friends in an atmosphere of detached cameraderie.

God, someone has read Hermann Hesse!
I love your user name, since it is one of my favorite books. In fact, it's time for a reread, since it's been decades! (Yes, some of us are that old.)
Welcome, Magister. I anticipate your participation around these forums.
Welcome also to deez snyderz and Tasrion. It's great to see new "faces"!

Magister Ludi, Registered User
Is it just me, or does "Magister Ludi" sound like someone trying to say "Registered User" after half-price shooter night?

I'm not at all familiar with what a "half-price shooter night" is, although from the sense of your statement I imagine it involves some form of inebriation!

Max Bullingham Gloucester UK
Hi I am Max Bullingham Gloucester UK. I am completely talent free - Hurrah!! I enjoy sci-fi art and fantasy writing with absolutely no danger of taking myself seriously. Until recently I was the vice chair of a charity that combats social exclusion in the arts - Art Shape - Brilliant bunch of fantastic people. I have a history of mental health issues that have been nothing less than inspirational for my art, but not much use for anything else. Hope to have some inspirational fun here.

Welcome, Max! Most of us don't take ourselves too seriously either, so you should feel right at home.
