Hi, I'm Sally. I've been dragged kicking and screaming into cyberspace by my teenage son, but I've been reading science-fiction and fantasy since I was grass-high to a kneehopper.

I'm argumentative, opinionated - and terrified I'm going to get shot down in flames.

Still, from what I've seen so far, there's a lot of like-minded people on this site, so what the hell, here I am!

I've learned a ton being a member of this site. There are some clever people on this forum, but it's really nice to talk about something we all love.

Hi, all.

I'm new to the forum, but not to the genre. I've read till my eyes bled and written till I couldn't hold a pencil. I don't do the writing thing anymore, but I do still love to read.

I prefer Medieval Fantasy, but my friends have been dumping SciFi on my desk a lot lately, so I've been playing catch-up with them. I'm reading Blue Belle, by Andrew Vachss at the moment. I've recently polished off Ender's Game, The Forever War, Farnham's Freehold, Street Lethal and Gorgon Child, Phule's Company, Callahan's Crosstime Saloon and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I spend a lot of time fishing and tending to the ego of my dog, who, in dog years, is older than me.

My name is Mik and I'm a bit of a hardcore geek

Whilst I may not be the most motivated, nor the cleverest, I have quite the passion for things such as... Warcraft

I've logged too many hours on it, and I'm starting to feel it.

But about me. 19, live in England and just coming to the end of my exams. I've got no direction in life, and no job. But, I do have 6 of the 7 Dark Tower books

I'm certainly a gamer at heart, and my "specialist" area of geekdom tends to be fantasy.

Not sure what else to say.

G'day, my name is Jim when i take human form. My main love is fantasy but i also enjoy sci/fi and black magic novels. I used to play a lot of pc games but when world of warcraft swallowed 3 years of my life i pretty much stopped playing, i gamble on poker sites now...i'm a lost cause lol. Other than that i love listening to Metal at ear bleeding volumes and drinking fine whiskey. I'm a new member to the site but i have been visiting for some time.

Hello everyone!!

I am a 40 year old, married woman. I have my own business (GIS consulting) and work out of my home. I am kind of going through a mid-life crisis. I've decided I am going to do the thing I have always wanted to do - write scifi/fantasy stories! So, here I am. Taking baby steps and enjoying all the banter.
