I'm a new member here, like most people introducing themselves I suppose. I've been lurking for a few months or so. I didn't register before today because I'm the very shy kind of person who doesn't know what to say because people scare her. I see myself as a misanthrope, and while that might be an exaggeration, I don't really like other people, except the ones I know. Hi fellow we must have something in common to be here people!

I am a long time sci-fi, conspiracy, paranormal, horror fan and finally after way too much deliberation a new author looking for a publisher or agent. I just finished my first novel and ten short stories. So far I've accumulated about thirty rejection e-mails but I'm keeping the faith working for one yes. I put up a web site and blog as well. It's lost somewhere in cyberspace unless I tell someone about it. What is with the search engines anyway?

New member here, just found this site when I was looking for book reviews. I love books (duh ), especially sci-fi and fantasy. My favorite authors are Robert J. Sawyer, Elizabeth Haydon, Anne Bishop, and others (my boyfriend despairs of all my bookshelves!). I also enjoy playing video games as well, mostly RPGs or games with a strong storyline.

Howdy Folks,

I'm new here, I've been reading SF off and on since my Dad dropped a copy of I, Robot in my lap way back in
1965.

Currently I'm involved in the Vampire Earth series; so far so good plenty of shoot 'em up to make things interesting.

I enjoy Military SF, as well as good old fashion espionage novels.

I'm looking forward to stopping by now and again to see what's going on around here.

My name is Robert, I'm 32 and I work at a computer video game company in Southern California.

I got into sci-fi first with Fahrenheit-451 and Rendezvous with Rama when I was around 10, and later into fantasy with Sword of Shannara and the Hobbit in my early teens.

Anyhow, I'm here to lurk in the shadows and see what recommendations everyone has for new reading material.
