Does GRRM play in fantasy football leagues? Let's hope not!

Being a sports fan is nigh onto a 24/7 job. It never ceases. NFL is slightly better to other's, as there's a break. There's that to be thankful of.

Because ADWD was not completed during previous American football seasons? It wasn't completed outside of the previous American football seasons either, in case you hadn't noticed.

There is much to debate and criticise about this matter, but this particular line of debate is imbecilic.

Someone on his blog recently asked if GRRM was going to be blogging about NFL football soon, as the season is about to begin, and he replied that no, there will probably be very few (if any) football posts this season because of how busy he is. He did say, however, that he will be Tivo'ing all the games to watch later. (I wish he would settle for highlights!)

Even still, I'm pretty I remember him mentioning that he only follows two teams, the Jets and the Giants, so hypothetically that's only 2 games a weekend...I watch more football than that on most weekends and I still find time to work and go to school full time...so I'm pretty sure GRRM can find time to write.

How does being pretty help remember stuff?
And yes I agree, any given person can do both work AND watch football if they really really try.

Be glad his sport is football (16 games), and not baseball (162 games). If he ever takes a liking to the Mets, then get worried about ADWD.

Always look on the bright side of life.

Had dinner with GRRM and some other fans last night and I have to say that anyone who ever says anything bad about the guy in my vicinity will be getting a punch in the face. The man is amazingly accessible and good to his fans, a true gentleman.

The book'll be done when it's done.

Going to ADWD reading tomorrow as well as a signing and then of course the BWB party where we'll be trying our damnedest to get GRRM drunk as a punk skunk doing crunk.

No problem with GRRM being a huge football fan. It's his life...gotta love some things. I love football myself and it occupies lots of time during the fall, but you have time for other things as well.

Foootball is not the reason we don't have ADWD yet.

This whole football debate is approaching Sarah Palin-like levels of stupidity.

If Dance isn't announced as finished in time for it to hit bookstores in a time period in order for it to capitalize on the HBO series run, then I think GRRM's publishers will be ready to murder him. Also, in this case, I think all bets are off on predicting not when, but if it will ever be finished, but then maybe I'm just too pessimistic.

A report from the World Con:
He read the prologue and said that in addition to that he had about 1300 pages (he actually had the Tyrion chapter there too - so shattered when he didnt have time to read it!!).
Referred to the length of time he's taken to get Dance of Dragons out a few times and said that he believes he's almost done, but that hes not giving any estimates.
