A normal user need only read our rules and guidelines to get an idea of why a member may be given a strike.
In the end, it is usually safer to err on the side of caution, no? Also, I'd like to direct any further conversation about strikes and forum policy to the sffworld.com comments, feedback... forum.

I'd suggest being democratic since a forum is only worth anything if the community are happy and co-operative, but, meh, there are rules. I'm not good with authority, though.
Maybe you could opperative on a system of law, though. If there's significent opposition, you should maybe ask the victim (Wert, in this case) if he cares enough to want 'to press charges'? That way you can keep victims happy and at least show some sense of community spirit.
But ouch, man, The 'Fart'zone? What an embarrasing insult to get a strike for. When I get my strike I hope to have got it for something badass. -eternally hopeful-

Note to self: Never use the word "fart" on this forum.

I have to say that the strike was possibly a little harsh. Certainly I was laughing too hard at the inanity of it to be offended.

It's snowing.
On Jon. On the krakens. On me.
We all slog onward.
Finished a chapter a few days ago. Revised another. Then re-revised it.
The days go too fast, the work too slowly. But onward.

Uh...
I hate to say this, but...
Well, I was always told that if an author hates their own writnig, how can anyone else be expected to enjoy it?
Everyone gets a bit downtrodden or fed up, but Martin seems to be that way all the time with his novel...
I'm scared. : (Last edited by Luya Sevrein; December 17th, 2010 at 08:28 AM.
