Hi I am new on the boards, & I have posted in several threads...
I just thought I would introduce myself here!
My name is Ariana, and I am a big sci-fi fan, both film and books. I am an artist and do mostly sci-fi/fantasy art, as well as gothy sort of stuff on occassion. I am the art editor for an on-line e-zine and just took that on recently. I do a lot of conventions and looking forward to supporting world con in Reno for 2011! I do mostly west coast shows, and am a vendor in several cons. I worked ComiCon for a few years. And most recently sold at WesterCon60 my first gallery piece. I won best original novice in the masquerade at world con in San Francisco in 1993. So I have been sort of lurking around for years.
Mostly I like to see new people involved in the genre(s), and help when I can. I am including a small piece of my work to show!
I hope you like it!
Nice to meet everyone!

Hi Everyone!
ThanX for the nice welcomes!!!
Yes all art I post or use is always my own creation and usually part of a story or concept. I love art, I work in Acrylic, pen, pencil, colored pencil and several 3D programs!
This is an open offer to the group...if you have been looking for an original avatar, or would like a small art piece of your own, just let me know!
I enjoy experimenting as I feel it drives me to come up with new and fresh ideas! I want it understood that this offer is free, and has no conditions attached! I just like to play!
I do not know the rules here for posting pics on the boards, so if someone can point me to the right area to get that info I will find out what I can and can't do. In the meantime, my site is being reconstructed and it does have products associated with it. I believe the forum rules say I cannot post what might be considered spam (*like my site) so I will wait for word on that too. In the meantime here is some larger work with more detail. Feel free to download and keep it for your viewing pleasure.
Hugs
Ariana
This one is a screen saver, 1024 x 768, you may share this with anyone and it was made as an xmas gift for friends and family last year. I have freely shared it with whoever liked it and wanted to share it with their friends too! All I ask is NOT to remove the copyright info on the corner. Or on any of my work please!

and the other two are just sample art!

This next item is what is commonly called a Tube (*.png or portable network graphic, means it has a clear back), if you do sigs, avatars or other 2D art you will know how to use this and what it can be used for! It is royalty free, not my best by far, but too sweet to toss! Enjoy!
anyone may use it to make sigs or av's with it!

I did link to this post in my intro, cause I know that many will enjoy the screensaver!
Future wise I will post (*and most likely create) a gallery! :P
As you can see I am an outgoing member and do post often! I have oodles of things I see here that just tantalize the senses!!! So I do be a happy gurl!

you've got no contact info in your profile. The only active thing in there is to put you on my "ignore list", lol.
I'd like to discuss something with you off line. If you want, pm or email me

Ariana,
Wow! Fantastic stuff. I was amazed when I zoomed in on the art in your original post as I have recently submitted a couple of short stories about predatory gargoyle-like creatures called Shadows.
