I understand the sentiments of everyone who thinks the books are too long, boring, and have unnecessary sub plots. The truth is, they probably are all those things. Personally, however, I am like Chris W. who thinks this is acceptable because I enjoy the WoT world so much. Books are how I escape the daily grind of life and to have a series that is so detailed and takes a long time to get through is a plus in my book. Yes, there are parts I found boring, but still worth the read time for what they added to the overall story.
