I'm thinking about scuttling my previous plans and reading the Jones right after I finish Laird Barron's The Croning.

Thanks, I'll keep them in mind for those end of the month thrills. Dark Harvest looks especially tantalizing.

The Steel Tsar by Michael Moorcock

A friend loaned me The Warlord of the Air a couple of years ago and I thought it was great fun. Now I need to find The Land Leviathan and read that before getting to this.

Shoggoths in Bloom by Elizabeth Bear (collection)

Along with this collection I've recently picked up collections by Sarah Monette and Holly Phillips, I look forward to the upcoming collection by Ekaterina Sedia and still have one I haven't read yet by Theodora Goss. Add that I'd like to track down collections by Angela Slatter and Lisa Tuttle, and I'm slightly surprised by how many women are writing works right in my area of interest, where horror and fantasy intersect.
