Seak - I am so jealous of your used book store. I make the occasional find at mine but it is the rare needle in the haystack. I keep going back though b/c I just love the used book store vibe, the independent spirit of the little guy running his own business. The dude who runs this store is overrun - I dont know if he ever refuses a book that is brought into him for store credit.

Went out on a limb and got the 36 books of the discworld series (I hope hehe). Reviews seem to be positive almost all around and the glimpses Ive read seems to be like a winner.

Now all I have to do is wait for them to arrive in the mailbox, though hopefully not all at once.

I forgot, I also found the entire Coldfire Trilogy, which I was really excited about.

I don't know what the deal is, maybe everyone in my neighborhood hates fantasy and they're just trying to get rid of everything they can. I know I'm the only one who ever looks in that section of the store and people look at me with scorn when they pass by.

Gosh, this spending spree has got to stop.

I found Martin's Dreamsongs for $5.99 a piece at Borders yesterday. Bought it and half way through The Hedge Knight (also half way through his screenplay of the Twighlight zone). I could not stop reading last night.

Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco - more in the Historical fiction realm I think but it sounds great and I really remember enjoying the movie with Sean Connery and Mathew Broderick.

High Bloods by John Farris. I think this only just hit the stands. It apparently deals with lycanthrope and how it affects society. If the glossary -- nothing extensive, mostly brief explanations of street lingo -- is any indication, Farris was having some fun with this idea.

On top of the previous books I listed I also just realised that Felix Gilman's second novel Gears of the City has just come out, so I ordered that off Amazon. Absolutely loved Thunderer.
