I recall a semi-recent post where Seak and someone else were discussing the fun they had at local used-book stores. I found one, stuck away in a small end corner, of a shopping center near my house. Excited, I went in to try my luck and came away with:
Fortress in the Eye of Time - C.J. Cherryh
Fortress of Eagles - C.J. Cherryh
Shadow Moon - Chris Claremont & George Lucas collaboration
Shadow Dawn - Chris Claremont & George Lucas collaboration
and I also found The Forever War, by Joe Haldeman, but that's sci-fi.

I found that at my fun (
) local used bookstore and they wanted double the price of the new book. I tried to talk them down, "I promise, the new book is only 15 bucks", but the lady wouldn't listen.
I'm glad you found a used book store. (Fight the addiction)
I recently bought The Stand because Borders gave me 5 free borders bucks and I had a 40% off coupon. The grand total was $.35. Love it.

Stopped by a B&N today, as requested by Mrs. PW, for stationary. In picking over the Bargain Priced books, I picked up four. Two are sci-fi, but the other two were:
Sinner - Douglass (<$6)
The Complete Sherlock Holmes in leather bound, gold leaf - Doyle (<$20)

Tomorrow is the official release of "The Law of Nines" by Terry Goodkind.
I really think you don't want to miss this action Packed Thriller
One of the really cool things I've noticed is the fast paced action this books gets into. Not to mention the realistic aspects Goodkind has placed throughout the book. Like a woman from another world not knowing what a car is, or how to open the door (as seen in the video clip). Many other stories I've read the author just passes those details over...
Having also read his other works, I especially liked the little tidbits he's dropped into the new books. Fan's of his other works can pick up on and that kind of makes you smile.
