Warhammer: A Massacre in Marienburg - David Bishop
The Blade Itself - Joe Abercrombie
The Legend of Sigurd & Gudrún - J.R.R. Tolkien

£5 for all 3. I love discount bookstores.

    Heads up!

Amazon.com has the first two Gail Z. Martin Necromancer books on sale for less than $2 each for the Kindle. I just bought the entire series of four books for about $12.

    Now let's hope they're good.

I did the same thing the other day, series has mixed reviews but I am willing to give it a shot as it can't be too bad and it is less than two dollars a book.

I normally do not pounce on books just because they are cheap or free. But I have been curious about the Necromancer series already, so I got them all.

I saw this and cracked up. I actually had this author up on a "buy??" list for a while. But read tons of posts, here and elsewhere, as well as reviews and, ultimately, the author got bumped off the list.

I've always wondered how much her last name boosts her sales...as she is shelved right next to GRRM. My theory is that people see her next to a VERY well known author with the same last name, maybe pick up her book, maybe read the back blurb, and maybe buy, (not that the esteemed SFF Worlders would fall into such a trap), it is a lot of maybes...but I still wonder.

My Mum saw (and bought) these for me in a local garden centre:

    Mythago Wood - Robert Holdstock
    Broken Sword - Poul Anderson
First Among Sequels - Jasper Fforde

    For 1 each, I can't complain!
