American Fantastic Tales, vol. 1 ed. Peter Straub
The Empress of Mars by Kage Baker
Far Dark Fields by Gary Braunbeck

Probably wouldn't have bought the Straub -- I have many of the stories in other collections/anthologies -- but a 40% off sale and a $5 credit made it too attractive to pass up.

The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie!

Haven't bought any new fantasy (or new authors) in a long time. Looking forward to this one, although it will probably be a while before I get around to reading it.

You are in for a treat with DragonSong/Singer/Drums, often called the Harper Hall Trilogy.

My wife liked these three better than Dragoflight and Dragoquest.

And some more great gems in that series as well.

I had to order, from Amazon, a new wireless keyboard with trackball for my HTPC, so added a few books along with it.

    Snow Crash - Stephenson
    Chasm City - Reynolds
Lord of the Silent Kingdom - Cook
    Elantris - Sanderson

    Picked up Warbreaker last weekend.

    Picked up recently:

The Judging Eye by R. Scott Bakker
A Darkness Forged in Fire by Chris Evans
Fall of Thanes by Brian Ruckley
The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson

I'm especially happy to have got the books by Sanderson and Ruckley, thus completing the Mistborn and Godless World trilogies, as I like to buy all the books in a series and then read it straight through rather than read the first book, take a year to get the second one and then spend the first 150 pages of it scratching my head and trying to remember who the hell these people are and what they're doing. And then repeating that all over again with book 3. And 4, and so on. Luckily I haven't bought a duff series yet, thanks in no small part to all the various contributions on SFF World (what a suck up!).
