The Death of Chaos - L.E. Modesitt, Jr.
I wasn't sure what Recluce book to order next. I've read that Mr Modesitt says "read them in publication order", and I plan to do that for the most part, but I noticed that The Death of Chaos is the sequel to The Magic of Recluce so, to me, that seemed a logical purchase.
Plus it has more Tamra, yay!

Me too, Durzo. I think I'll get to it after I've read The Death of Chaos.

So I have heard.
Just hours before I board a plane for a 10+ hour flight Anderson's The Edge of the World and the MAP of all THINGS, along with Wooding's The Black Lung Captain arrived. Not sure if I will be taking them with me but I have a few hours to adjust the books I planned on taking with me.

I just ordered the hardback copy of Wolfsangel by M. D. Lachlan. It was released this year and is his debut novel and is receiving rave reviews from all quarters.
And it has exactly the kind of cover art that I like - evocative of the actual book rather than all this minimalist twoddle.

Stumbled across a copy of "Tuf Voyagings" at Half Price Books. Always looking forward to reading more GRRM, and I didn't even know this existed until I saw it on the shelf.

I know some people have been waiting on this one, because it was delayed from last year: arrived in the post this morning from Gollancz and due out officially on August 26th, the lovely black leather edition of Jack Vance's The Complete Lyonesse.
The actual cover is different to this (it's a goblet, not a crown as shown here), but like this:

It's a lovely edition.
