Ok, based upon a fair weighing of the pros and cons (much thanks to Rob B and Owlcroft), I've signed up for the sfbc.com membership. I picked up 6 hardcovers for less than $24 (which included S&H). They are:
Lamentation - Ken Scholes
A Darkness Forged in Fire - Chris Evans
Acacia - David Anthony Durham
The Lies of Locke Lamora - Scott Lynch
Red Seas under Red Skies - Scott Lynch
A 3-in-1 omnibus on Earthsea - Ursula Le Guin
Say hello to my little omnibus.

Ben,
I don't know if they do or not. Check their site and see if they'll offer it.

I belong to sfbc as well as bomc (book-of-the-month), and there are really great deals, especially when they offer sets. I plan to purchase the Wheel of Time series that way, once the last book is out and offered as part of a complete set.
My only complaint is that sometimes, when I've pre-ordered an upcoming release, I will see the book at the local BAM before my copy gets to me. But that happens with Amazon as well.

I am in a strange mood and wanted something with Dragons in it. Not just dumb transportation devices or remote controlled weapons, but Dragon actors. So I made my research here, created a list and went to the local english bookstore.
I came out with:
His Majesty's Dragon (Temeraire Series) - Naomi Novik
Gardens of the Moon (Malazan Series) - Steven Erikson
Dawnthief (Raven (?) Series) - James Barclay
Dragon Champion (The Age of Fire Series) - E. E. Knight
The Adamantine Palace (?? Series) - Stephen Deas
I broke my rule to not buy unfinished series, but that was helped by the fact I already broke it for Stover with Caine Black Knife last year.
Currently I am still reading The Accidental Sorcerer from K.E. Mills which I randomly picked up due to the title and backside synopsis which sounded interesting, but when that's finished I am not yet decided with which one I will start.

Hmmmmm ... Maybe I should post something in the thread about compulsive book buying ...
Anyway, my Night Shade order came in:
The Imago Sequence and Other Stories by Laird Barron (man, if that ain't a writer's name, what is?) (story collection)
Hart & Boot by Tim Pratt (story collection)
The Ghosts of Yesterday by Jack Cady (story collection)
Plus,
The Somnambulist by Jonathan Barnes
My wallet says I should stop now.

Some new arrivals from those crack peddlers at the book depository;
The Stress of Her Regard, Tim Powers - I'm hoping Tachyon make enough from this to get them to reprint more of Powers' older stuff)
Animal Farm, George Orwell
Drood, Dan Simmons - I needed something to hold a door open
Whitechapel Gods, S. M. Peters - This purchase was nearly based on cover alone
Non-fantasy:
Halting State, Charles Stross - Read Accelerando and wasn't too impressed, but the concept of this seemed interesting
Triplanetary, E. E. "Doc" Smith - I bought this because one of my many reading goals is to understand authors from the past who influence those today
Buyout, Alexander Irvine - This guy doesn't get talked about near enough. he's a very talented author.
Outer Dark, Cormac Mcarthy - I've been hooked since reading The Road and Blood Meridian
Cloud Street, Tim Winton

You folks cost me a lot of money. I really should stop reading this forum... ! As if that'll happen! Here's today's haul:
Ursula LeGuin - Earthsea Quartet (used)
Brent Weeks - The Night Angel trilogy
And well not Fantasy, but also grabbed Dan Brown's Angels & Demons.
