    Lord Foul? Meh. I found the main character to be more chilling... whiney bugger.

    I don't think I've really encountered any villains that give me the heebie jeebies, I guess Morgoth would come pretty close, definitely not Sauron, he's just a Morgoth-wannabe. Pyrates (Tad williams) was pretty creepy...

    Lord Foul wasn't all that creepy, but the three Ravers - turiya, moksha and samadhi - were IMHO decidedly the creepiest villains in the whole fantasy genre.
