Prince of Nothing addiction

Although I can Get the judging eye via rush shipping tomorrow, I have decided to save money and go for the less expensive option of waiting for its US release. This has been a victory, in the fight against my Bakker addiction. Im still suffering from withdrawals after putting down the Thousand Fold Thought, and my tolerance has gone up after I attempted to read the Prince of Nothing trilogy a third time and didnt get high. Thus begins the longest 12 days of my life, as I wait for february fith. Im going to have to take a week off of work when I get the book, so I can read it straight through. I am so excited, I cant wait!!

I'm about 1/2 way through the thousandfold thought at the moment... I'm not sure if I'm going to go on to the judging eye or not. I have difficulty understanding the huge praise Bakker gets sometimes.

I like a lot of it but there's a lot that I feel I have to wade through to get to the good parts. Sometimes I feel like I read a whole chapter or more and all I get is more self talk and self thought that just seems to pound the same point into the readers head over and over.

But then something totally unexpected will happen and I'll be on the edge of my seat. Then I have to go back and re-read it to make sure I understood what just happened.

I think more than anything the abundance of graphic sex in the series is what makes me uncomfortable with it. That more than anything else will turn me off from continuing to read the series.
