Just finished breakfast, now watching the early morning local news and debating whether or not I will go out with my wife to do some Christmas shopping.
So tired after a crazy week, so happy its friday, put Bambi on for my two little girls, gave them hot chocolate and trying to relax.
Cooking up a storm for a dinner party I'm hosting this evening. Herbed Olive Spread, Date and Mustard Meatballs, Arugula and Almond Salad, Roaste Goose with Basmati Rice and Red Current Stuffing, Roasted Leeks and Apples with Grand Marnier Parfait for dessert. Also made some homemade eggnog (with liberal amounts of spiced rum). I can't wait to eat all of this.
Watching my 1 year old rearrange the fridge and drinking a cup of water while attempting to read emails, update facebook, and doing some online shopping.
Grinding out a few hours in the office - feeling that pull of Christmas break and wishing I was on it, and not here! So many things I would rather be doing . . . so so so so many things!
Ewww - my stomach is unhappy after a heaping helping of poutine, yummy yummy potine.
Merry Christmas SFF World - I am on the count down to get out of the office. As of now I have 76 minutes to go. Peace and Joy to all.
As of this moment I am realising my efforts to totally ignore Christmas - and all that that implies - have been spectacularly successful. It's 3 pm. I am off to do some shopping.
Good luck Mr. Monkey - The biggest decision I have before me today is when to have that first drink of wine.
... and a happy New Year to you, NickeeCoco!
Turning 41 today - Hoo Ray. Beats the alternative I guess. 40 had some high points - trip to Rome, family vacation, my own man-cave, but I sure hated 40 otherwise. I funked it up, almost wrote nothing and regularly contemplated my mortality. Well, enough of that - onwards and upwards. Cheers to you all.
Just had free cake - my day is going awesome.
Thanks, buddy!
