Ooo funky, but that may have been because they were originally planning to wrap the art around both covers of the book as a folded image, and then changed their minds and cropped it instead.

The perspective on the castle is fine, it's the figure who look out of whack. Probably a concession not to have the characters look distorted.
The book isn't half-bad either, though it feels like something written in the late 80s/early 90s.

That's a really nice cover.
I much prefer Fantasy covers that look... Fantastical, if that makes sense? Whilst I like the poses on say, Jim C. Hines' Princess books, the covers aren't the best. I'd love to see a cover with all three in action because I think it would sum the series up better than a "photograph" pose.
Terrible quality picture (sorry, best I could find after a quick Google), but you get what I mean. It's engaging, it looks like a Fantasy novel - It's great.
I quite like this one too:
Sums the book up quite well, I suppose, or at least as far as I've gotten.
Oh man, that Spring Heeled Jack cover is beautiful! Fits into Dwagginz "fantastical" cover zone, and maintains a high level of class.
I also liked that cover, I actually posted it a few posts ago... also pre-ordered the book, seems like a fun one.
There's just a good contrast between the colors, and the past vs. futuristic.
I read 1 or 2 Fantasy books a year. I have to say that it is the Cover Art, 90% of the time, that makes me pull if from the shelf to see what it's about. Last year I read A Game of Thrones, and Honored Enemy (not that the Cover art on this blew me away but I was in small book store in an even smaller town in Maine at the time, and it was the best cover art of about 5 choices.) This years first venture is Across the Face of the World. I saw the cover, pulled it, read a few pages and saw it had interesting maps (a good map is also important to me in Fantasy) and I was sold.
The cover deserved to be posted twice though.
Anyways, I'm not a fan of people/faces in covers, but there just something about the next one that makes me really like it. I think it just has a promise of mischievous fun, plus it looks like a devious David Copperfield.
I know there are quite a few people anticipating the following book, I'll probably pre-order it soon. I really like the cover, it has a bit of the Spring Heeled Jack theme going for it with the font. Don't like much the character in the cover, but I think everything else looks quite awesome.

That looks *awesome*.
Adding to my wishlist!![]()
That Horns of Ruin cover looks spectacular. Especially the electric coil rapier!
The surge of steampunk will indeed be fun. I'm trying an experiment here:
Ha ha, it worked! Finally got it to work between my computer and the site. Anyway, I like this one, which is for a new novel riffing on Peter Pan.
He did. Has a couple other books out, as well. The Child Thief is a great book with some great cover art and far better interior art.
