Lately i got tired of superheroe comics, and the only one I really still like is Batman.
I loved Superman when I was younger, but now his exploits seem a little too juvenile to me.
It's a bit sad, but I guess as we grow up, our tastes change somewhat, so now I'm really into more unique comics rather then mainstrean ones (FINALLY read Sandman a few months ago).
Did anyone else change his comics preferrances through the years, is anyone else tired of superheroes?

I liked Spwan, at the begining, for he was not another Batman or Superman (who I hate), but later I came to like him less and less, as the only thing he did was beat an oponent only to have him replaced by another stronger one. But the general Spawn story is far better than the averange comic book hero's.
I also like the X-Men a bit.
And I've read some issues of Sandman -- pretty good, at the begining.
Yep, that's the main problem with superheroes comics, it just get tedious and unending, there's no catharzis, it's like a soap opera. You always no that the poor superhero will just have to kick ass until the book sales decline...The only thing he did was beat an oponent only to have him replaced by another stronger one
I like the X men too, they are a bit different than other superheroes, more human than most, outcasts actually, which makes the reader, I think, care for them more than to the average "universe savior of the week". I admit I haven't read them in a while, but the X men are still the hottest comic book out there, so I guess they're doing something right.
Yah, I too have steered away from the general super hero titles.. Well, partially.. Their are alot of good super hero titles, ya just gotta pick your way thru em..
Also, with any title, after 300+ issues, ya just get tired of it.. I was getting like that with the X-Men, until recently they totally revamped and changed the creators..
Heck, X-Force is one of the most orginal X Titles to ever come out..
A few Super hero titles that stand out to me are..
Thunderbolts, X-Titles, Flash, and JSA.. These I tend to find to be the cream of Super hero titles..

No man, I would have to say "Pitt" is one of the best comics out there, mainly because of the sweet ass art Dale Keown puts out.
Have collected Captain America for years.
My favoret series was by DC several years ago when the JLA was all goofy. Blue Beatle, Buster Gold, Guy Gardner as the Green Lantern, Fire, Ice. The stories were just zany!!!
I think the reason superheroes lose interest is because they aren't human enough. I read in the Exalted rulebook a well-put statement, "it's a lot easier to write a good Batman story than a Superman one". It's true. Where's the drama when the hero can't lose? That's why Batman's been my favourite for so long, he's probably the most human "superhero" out there.
I've found my tastes changing, but not in the same way. I'm still a big art person, but I find myself appreciating writing more. I love Strangers in Paradise, Sandman, Punisher, Amazing Spider-man, Herobear, Blue Monday and a bunch of others because the writings good and the art is either decent or good, too.
In the characters and stories I come up with I find I'm not creating super-heroes as much anymore as I am real people. It's wierd because they all started with codenames and spandex tights and they're all changing to having real names and real clothes. It's a strange shift.
I still read the spandex stories; Spider-man, X-force, etc. But you're write, I appreciate the more mature titles more, too.
