Actually, what I do have is a big story picture.
I've been working on it for about a week (big ones do take longer). I was inspired by the artist that HE pointed us all to, with the big bad king getting the wine poured over his head. While this image is in no way comparable in quality or style to that fellow's, his work inspired me to do this one. Since it contains (ahem) a fair amount of skin, I decided that perhaps I should not actually post it here but instead provide a link to my website gallery where it resides. It's called "The Old Distraction Ploy." As you can see, it works every time...

Now, see? Why is it that I never wandered into a place like that? The ones I wandered into had their moments but they also had their costs, monetary, biological, et al. Why, if I could walk into a room adorned in such a manner, I bet I would never be able to draw myself away from studying the cultural artifacts therein displayed.
On second thought, mayhaps that is why TLWSHLWM discourages my seeking out such places, knowing at my age there is only so much culture my heart is equipped to withstand.

And, just so Sheepie doesn't feel unwelcome (now that we just got her back), I did a moodier piece. This is called, "When The Light Is Too Bright".

Back to sweetness and romance.

When the Light is Too Bright is terrific. You always do interesting things with light and shadow now. Put that one up for the prizes on the art boards.
Sweetness and Romance doesn't work for me, though. With the ponytail, she looks like she's wearing 1980's aerobics clothes and he looks like he's wearing a costume, so it's kind of like two Vegas casino workers taking a break.
I like the background though.

They get breaks like this? I'm thinking of a career change.
Oh, yeah, wait. I'm retired.
I admire the expressions on their faces. These appear to convey the meaning in your title but the offset to the extreme right makes them seem the less important aspect of the picture; they're just an excuse for the scenery.
Also, what KatG said about about prizes and such. Suspect Her Greatness calls this one correctly.

Oooh, I like moodier! You should give in to your dark side more often!

lol, should have figured this crew would really like the dark stuff!

I actually haven't posted that one anywhere else except here, but I guess I shall, given as it appears to be well received. Of course, I may confuse the hell out of my art watchers, who are more used to seeing my pretty pix...

This was my entry into the Halloween contest at FaerieWylde, whose theme this was year was "...once upon a dark night - make us wish we were at home safe under the bed!" I decided that something scary to faeries was most appropriate!
"She only comes out but once a year;
'Tis a night that all good faeries fear..."
My entry took first place, which I was quite pleased with!

Congratulations!
The fact that it looks like a tiny blue box with a question mark, makes it more like a commentary on lost internet art tho...
Modern art is so hard to follow, isn't it?

lol, it's just that new-fangled fad of minimalist art...

I was trying to link to the picture in a different place, and it worked for a little while, but apparently not for long. So, I've fixed that now and the picture should really be there now... (if not, try a browser refresh).

Back of the little fairy should be more arched, should it not?
And shouldn't the caption read something to the effect: "No way in hell I'm gonna let a little witch like you grow up to be a big witch like me?"
And, because I am such a stickler for detail, I do admire the big witch's flesh colored bra. You just don't see a lot of multi-colored colored bras anymore. I know because I watch <sic study as if for a final exam in physics> all the Victoria's Secret commercials.

TSOTNW is always complaining that my ladies' backs are too arched, and thus I try to overcompensate. I will inquire as to whether I can get a special dispensation for faeries being shot in the back...

Speaking of faeries... Just because I like it (even though I suspect most of this crowd won't), you get another one. This one is entitled simply, "Fall Fae".

Hah, if she had dark hair, she'd look just like my niece, who is 14 and does have a chest that large... but not the ears and wings of course. Altho I do have a friend with pointy ears...
If she were flat-chested and dressed younger this would make a great character for a children's book.
