    oh, good... ninjas or pirates???

    you know, the way you wrote the first post reminded me of a teacher I had in university that handed out the exams and wrote only one line on the board: "understanding of the test is part of the test". So you could not ask anything. Understanding what had to be done was part of the test as well and knowing how to do it.

    I still don't know if i can participate (time is limited) but it will be fun trying to write something anyway....

    The theme has thrown me, I must admit. I want to avoid the stereotype as we all do, but pirates and ninjas *are* stereotypes. On the other hand, I could embrace the stereotype and just concentrate on writing well.

    Finally I google-image-searched "Lady Pirate" and now I need to go and have a moment to myself.

    Damn you, Fung

    I'm actually thinking I'm going to be forgoing this one. Which disapoints me. I was really looking forward to it. Thing is, while it's funny to joke around about ninjas and pirates, it's not something I'll write 1500 words about. Sorry. I am sad about this, though. I really am.

    But..but...but...it's not about ninjas and pirates! Well, it is but it's more about life choices, isn't it?

    not that that trivia has anything to do with this thread... I can't think of Pirates without thinking of Gilbert and Sullivan or Geanna Davis, and I can't think of Ninja's without thinking of Chris Farley.

    Pirate = MBA
    Ninja = MI6

    Pirate = Entrepreneur
    Ninja = Nanny

    And why has no one mentioned The Dread Pirate Roberts?

    That's the spirit, HE!

    Whether you think of it as pirates vs. ninjas, or as hedonism vs. asceticism, or as chaos vs. order, it really doesn't matter.

    You can even think of it as pyjamas vs. couture, who's to say!?

    I think of pirate radio. And pirating music, of course.

    Now pirating music is something I don't do, but I built me a transmitter once. (RFT) Radio Free Tristis

    Heck yes!

    So long as it's both sneaky AND dramatic AND in dark pyjamas.

    Crap, that's three things.
