Decades ago I read a story, I believe by Robert Bloch or Richard Mathesen, about a producer/director of horror films who watches a grade B film featuring an actor who was amazingly realistic in a vampire or living dead role. He ultimately meets the actor because he wants to use him in a film, but the actor turns out to be the "real thing." Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
