Hi everyone. I've put up a nominations thread for January 2011. I'd really like to get this club rolling again. The last few times we've tried it petered out due to lack of participation on both the nominations end and the discussion end. Nothing inspires me to keep this thing running than seeing a nice healthy discussion every month.
The nominations thread can be found here: http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showt...205#post610205

I've joined today, and am willing to read anything. Maybe if we tried for a quarterly book club rather than monthly we could get more interest? I'm just trying to throw out ideas.
I'm afraid I don't have any book suggestions. I just graduated college, and am finally getting back into reading fiction.
I'd love to see some classic scifi discussed. While I'm sure many of us have read from the classics, not everyone has, and many of us haven't had the opportunity to discuss the books.

I've just joined. I suspect that this club is not a going concern at the moment since the post immediately before that of renatria was in 2010. I would really enjoy reading and discussing scifi books with those of like interests. I'll keep an eye out to see if anything develops here later.

The book club is not dead, but the current activity now takes place in the main SF forum. So here's the most current discussion: http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31822
And here's the most recent nominations thread, in which we selected September's book: http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31786
