Looking for Series?

Several years ago I read 1 of a series in which the main character is a half-breed alien/human Marine? Maybe named Booly? Can anyone help with the the specifics? Thanks,

I read a great deal, and I do hate it when I read a book and say to myself you need to get the others in the series. And, then I get on to reading something else, and then I can't remember the series I wanted to read, until a year or 2 later.
