I got to see a spin off of Hawkwind featuring Nik Turner, called Nik Turner's Space Ritual with special guest Helios Creed on guitar back in the 90s. Great show, very spacey. More sci fi than fantasy. However:
Michael Moorcock used to write lyrics for Hawkwind.

He use to often read them live as well did Mr Moorcock at times.
He also wrote lyrics for a few Blue Oyster Cult tracks (Black Blade & The Great Sun Jester are the ones that spring to mind).
His own project was Michael Moorcock & The Deep Fix. His “New Worlds Fair” album is pretty good and still comes up in my playlists often.
and why not, now playing is Michael Moorcock & The Deep Fix – “Ferris Wheel”

Kivenkantaja by Finnish pagan metal band “Moonsorrow”.
Talk about evoking images (sorry, I know that’s another thread but) this album make me feel like grabbing a big sword, jumping on my horse and racing of through the snow complete with furry cape and horned helm to pillage a settlement of Christians (no offence meant).
Brilliant stuff

Killing Joke - Absolute Dissent, their first for many years with the original lineup. Deluxe edition includes a bonus CD with covers from their catalogue. Excellent album.

The “Eparistera Daimones” album by Triptykon.
Not a bad follow up to the last Celtic Frost effort (Monotheist) at all, but I do hope Mr. Fischer doesn’t do the same thing for a third time.

Picked it up today (Should have got it much sooner, IMHO), and I'm glad I did. Amazing soundtrack to an amazing game.
