3rdI: Nice picks. I think the Damnation album is their most unique album, which is why I love it so much. Morningrise is my favorite, it was my first taste of Opeth, and that album changed me as a music listener for life. Blackwater park is also a favorite.

I love your taste in music dude.
Finally got round to listening to some...Hessin Peel and I really like it...
    Thanks TE

Listening to Slipknot- the nameless, I love this song, only like 3 or4 slipknot songs and this is top.

Funny thing: Even though I'm passionate about masks, I've never actually listened to Slipknot(even though their masks look pretty cool )

Hells yes! Hessian Peel is a fantastic song. The entire Watershed album is amazing. If I had to choose a favorite off the album it would probably be Heir Apparent or Porcelain Heart.

My favourite album of 2008. Burden and Hessian Peel are my picks.

Now listening to Ephrat's No One's Words.

    Right on.

I am checking out Ephrat as I type. Very cool. Reminds me a bit of Blackfield (Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree and Aviv Geffen)

Yeah, Blackfield's probably a bit poppier I reckon. The first song on No One's Word's is probably the weakest but the rest are great.

There are other similarities - Ephrat and Aviv from Blackfield are both from Israel, and Steven Wilson mixed and mastered Ephrat's album!

I love a lot of the more progressive heavier bands - Opeth, Ephrat, Porcupine Tree, OSI, Frost, Anathema, etc. Especially in 5.1 surround on the stereo!

We know your love of Tool - any other bands not mentioned above you'd recommend?
