Looking for Book

Hello,

Looking for a book I read years ago. It took place in war on a diff planet. The main story was about the space suit that was alive. Turns out there were eggs planted in the space suits and once they fed on enough sweat, they ate the wearer and continued to fight on their own. Somehow the alien in this suit was able to control it's hunger and helped the wearer out. I believe he was called bogey.

I seem to remember it was a set of 3 books.

I'd be very grateful of any help.
