What happened with Ron Perlman?
Perlman said he was up for a role a few months back, which I assume HBO has taken on board. If they find the right role for him which fits in with his schedule (since he's still filming Sons of Anarchy and several movies a year) they'll probably go for it, and if they don't they won't.
I've been trying to think of a good role for him, and oddly Victarion came up. Whether that will work for his age versus that of the actor playing Balon I don't know, but could be interesting. He also won't be needed for another two seasons.
Not to mention that in the coming years, del Toro is possibly going to get him back for Hellboy 3. Perlman's said he's getting a bit old for it, and he'll come back if it's in the next few years but beyond that he won't.
Which sucks, 'cos he's a great Hellboy.

That sucks. I didn't know the character was so physically demanding. If he holds to this at least we know he doesn't let money decide what he will do.

Season 3 casting.
My only gripe is Paul Kaye as Thoros - I can't stand Kaye, and it's a shame because I've been really looking forward to seeing the mad priest and his burning sword. But then I had the same reservations about Jerome Flynn, and he is the dog's.
Diana Rigg - my God, what casting. She's going to be immense. And I do believe the lad who's going to be Jojen played the young Paul McCartney recently, which leads to all kinds of potential "Frog Chorus" humour.
Clive Russell as the Blackfish is just dead-on. I've always liked him - he's rakish, charismatic, a bit dangerous, but very likeable. Just what the character needs.
Still hoping for Liev Schreiber as Mance Rayder. Google image him from Goon. Too perfect!

Bar Dondarion. It's nothing against the actor, though, it's just that they had an actor all ready who looked amazing and should have had a chance. =/

Diana Rigg, awesome! She seems too lovely! I always imagined one of the old school, boney as anything, sharp-faced women actors as Olenna. Blackfish is dead on, as you say, and I love Crook in anything! He's so unique.
Jojen and Meera are amazing. I love the girl playing Meera. Everyone seemed to want some kind of super hot, popular actress for Meera. Don't get why. Maybe it's the whole hot archer's thing happening right now, even though she uses a net. xD

Goddamn, that's good casting. Ciarán Hinds is a total boss. I swear, if I had a time machine I'd just use it to get to the next episode of GoT.
OMG, I am ridiculously excited about this! I've been hoping for Ciaran Hinds, in any role, since the show began. I think, for me, this is the best news since Sean Bean!
