Reading Crows with Dragons
I am thinking of rereading AFFC alongside ADWD since they cover (mostly) the same time period. Anyone else considering this?

In order for this to make sense, you'd have to have already read DANCE and then worked out where to cross over between the two and back again. Unless you wait for someone to create such a list for you, but that will take a few weeks until after release.
I'd just read AFFC and then ADWD straight through and leave this kind of project for a reread of both books further down the line.

Wow, I was JUST thinking this, and was looking for a thread before making one about it!
I actually bought Feast on day one and shelved it because I didn't want to torture myself. Now that Dance is out, I think I might just wait and see if someone gets around to making a list.. maybe the man himself?

I am doing just that, although not intentionally. It was my plan to re-read Feast before Dance comes out, but didn't had the time and couldn't resist when I got my copy of Dance.
So far I'm about third into Feast and read first couple of chapters from Dance. My plan is to finish Feast before middle of Dance when characters from Feast start to appear again.
So far it works out well. Except for Jon and Sam's chapters, cause first Jon chapter from Dance is before Sam's first in Feast, which actually overlaps with second Jon's (Dance) and part of the text is the same.

Yeah, I think Martin said you would need an exacto knife to piece the 2 books together. So maybe not all that easy once it's said and done.

Oh yeah, and all of the ironborn chapters in AFFC (bar the last one with Victarion) take place halfway through ASoS, just to completely throw things into confusion

Martin isn't suffering from Jordanitis, he's suffering from Eriksonitis.
