NBC is doing a new sci-fi drama called "Beautiful People".

"The potential series takes place in the near future where humans and mechanical androids (called Mechanicals) live side-by-side in a world where the Mechcanicals are treated like second class citizens and discriminated against."

Another tv show called Real Humans is airing in Sweden this week and have been sold abroad. It seems to have a similar story:
"What happens when robots become so human that they can barely be distinguished from real people? When they can even be our lovers? Real Humans takes place in a parallel world to our own, in which people's lives have been completely transformed by the new generation of robots, the Hubots."
