I enjoyed Dune, but Dune Messiah and Children of Dune I enjoyed even more. My interest fell off partway through God Emperor. *shrug*

I couldn't do top 50, i'd say a top 100 is the shortest I could manage. But I enjoyed a majority of works by the following authors in no particular order:
Robert Heinlein
Isaac Asimov
Michael Crichton
Orson Scott Card
L. Ron Hubbard
Stephen King
Larry Niven
Frederik Pohl
Arthur C. Clarke
Frank Herbert
Ray Bradbury
Dan Simmons
H.G. Wells
Franz Kafka
Robert Silverberg
Harry Turtledove
Robert Ludlum
Poul Anderson
Roger Zelazny
Greg Bear
Kurt Vonnegut
William Gibson
Aldous Huxley
