Looking for something specific

Looking for a scifi novel/series where at least one of the main character(s) is amoral, people often call these characters unlikable but this does not concern me.
I liked the female character in "In Conquest Born" for example.
Also liked Kellhus in "Prince of Nothing" although it's not exactly scifi.

Appreciate any recommendations you may give.

What comes to mind is the character Takeshi Kovacs, from Richard K. Morgan's Altered Carbon. Main description: he kills a lot. A lot. No compunctions. If you read you'll know how he pulls this off. If you like, there are two sequels.

Also, the brown-skinned Mickey Rourke-like old bruiser/enforcer for the police, Juno Mozambe, from Warren Hammond's KOP (acronym for Koba Office of Police, perfect title for a SF detective novel). If you like, there are also two sequels. (Note: all the covers have been whitewashed, or whatever they call it when a non-white main character is depicted as white on a cover...so it won't freak out the bigots and diminish sales. Go figure.)

Stephen R. Donaldson's The Gap Cycle probably fits that description.

Out of the multitude of characters in the series, I can think of two that aren't amoral, and most of the characters in the entire series are unlikable at some point.

Even "the good guys" are unlikable.

You'd probably have to ask on the fantasy forum, but Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun series (4 books, all brilliant, part SF/part fantasy) has a lead character who certainly displays amorality at times, but who is also likable and even engaging.
