    Question Text Separators in Scrivener

I have a question for all the Scrivener experts, particularly the ones using the Windows version:

I've just about got my custom compile preset just the way I like it (yay!), except I would like to have my text separation (just * * * * *) followed by an empty line or two (carriage return). I'm thinking I need something to insert in the Text Separator field, like when I use <$p> to indicate I want the page number inserted in the Header field. Does anyone know what this might be?

    Thanks so much!

Oh, I wish I could answer your question. I gave up using Scrivener so that I could have all my files where ever I go (I use GoogleDocs now).

However, you can try asking this gal (search for JW Manus). She's very clever with all that stuff. Good luck!

You could still do that by having your Scrivener project in a dropbox folder or something similar.

    For the record:

    Scrivener made me crazy.

It worked until it didn't, which was at the end of a big project. At that point, it deformatted and wouldn't let me export or save as anything else.

I ended up copy/pasting a two act play out of it and into a more stable application (Pages—the program I thought i was escaping when I downloaded Scrivener).
