celtic otherworld?

I'm trying to find a novel that i read a long time ago. The basic premise that i can remember is that the main character is somehow transported to a kind of alternate reality that is similar to other worlds in celtic mythology. one thing that sticks is that the main character gets caught in a celtic circle drawn on the floor. I dont know who wrote it or the title but i think it came out between 1995 and 199. any help would be appeciated
